The Festive Board has been a well-known establishment in the York area since the 1970’s. The current owner, Ed Abendschoen has been involved with the store since before he was a teenager. He was mentored by the cooks at the Festive Board early on and closely observed what they did and how they did it. He took their proven methods with him and added his own flair and creativity.

The store boasts a wide variety of homemade salads, imported meats, the largest offering of imported cheeses in the area, entrees, soups, vegetarian dishes, cakes, pies and European style breads all made on the premises. The Festive Board also offers a wide variety of gourmet items and Ed would be happy to order any cheese that you desire. The Festive Board staff is well versed in international cheese types, origins and production and has a wide array of literature for the customers to browse through when looking for that special cheese for their party or gathering!

The Festive Board is constantly experimenting with new tastes and combinations and there is always something exciting and delicious to try. All dishes are made with the freshest ingredients and all items are preservative free including the breads and pastries.

There are lunch specials to enjoy at the Festive Board as well as a homemade soup of the day. Long time regulars of the deli agree that you would be hard-pressed to find a better Italian sub, Carrot Cake or Chicken Salad in the area!
